Privacy Policy — Good Move Daily
Good Move Daily is operated by 3Cups Pty Ltd of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
1. What We Collect
Health data (via Apple HealthKit)
With your permission, Good Move Daily reads the following from Apple Health on your device:
- Step count
- Sleep duration and sleep stages
- Workout sessions (type, duration, and intensity)
- Active energy (calories burned during exercise)
- Heart rate
We only access this data after you grant permission through iOS’s standard HealthKit consent prompt. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Good Move Daily.
Other information
- Device and diagnostic data: device model, operating system version, app version, and crash reports — collected via TelemetryDeck (see Section 3).
- Subscription status: Apple notifies us whether your subscription is active or inactive. We do not receive your payment details or Apple ID.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any login credentials as part of normal app use.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide your daily readiness summary
Your health data is analysed on your device to produce your daily readiness score and guidance.
To generate your AI-powered daily message (Plus only)
If you subscribe to Good Move Daily Plus, a snapshot of your recent health data — typically recent sleep, heart rate trends, and workout history — is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate a personalised daily message written specifically for you. This is the only time your health data leaves your device in the normal course of using the app.
Diagnostics and improvement
Anonymised, non-identifiable diagnostic signals (via TelemetryDeck) help us understand how the app is used and identify crashes or bugs. This data never includes your health information.
We will never use your health data for advertising, to build a commercial profile about you, or for any purpose other than generating your readiness summary and (for Plus subscribers) your personalised daily message.
3. Third Parties We Share Information With
Anthropic (Claude API) — Plus subscribers only
When you use the AI daily message feature, Good Move Daily sends a selection of your recent health data to Anthropic, Inc. (USA) via their API. Only the data relevant to generating that day’s message is sent — we transmit the minimum necessary.
Important: Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its AI models. Your health data is processed to generate a response and is not retained by Anthropic beyond that transaction.

TelemetryDeck — analytics
We use TelemetryDeck for privacy-preserving app analytics. TelemetryDeck is designed to be GDPR-compliant and does not track individual users across apps or build advertising profiles. It collects anonymised, non-identifiable signals (e.g. which features are used, whether a crash occurred). It never receives your health data.

Apple — payments
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are managed entirely by Apple. We receive confirmation of subscription status only. Apple’s own Privacy Policy governs their data handling.
4. Storage and Retention
Your health data stays on your device. We do not operate a server-side database of user health records.
For Plus subscribers, a snapshot of health data is transmitted to Anthropic’s API at the time of generating your daily message. That data is not stored on our servers before or after transmission.
Anonymised diagnostic signals are retained by TelemetryDeck in accordance with their own retention policy.
If you delete Good Move Daily, all locally stored data is removed from your device.
5. HealthKit — Special Protections
In compliance with Apple’s HealthKit guidelines, and as a firm commitment to our users:
- We will never use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes.
- We will never sell your health data.
- We will never share your health data with data brokers, advertising networks, or analytics companies.
- HealthKit data is used solely to generate your daily readiness summary and, for Plus subscribers, your personalised daily message.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Your health data: Your health data lives in Apple Health, which you fully control. You can view, edit, or export it from the iOS Health app at any time.
Revoke permissions: Go to iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Good Move Daily to revoke any or all HealthKit permissions. Revoking permissions means we can no longer generate your daily readiness summary.
Delete app data: Deleting the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
Contact us: For any privacy request — including asking what data we hold about you, requesting correction, or requesting deletion of data in our possession — email us at hello@goodmovedaily.app.
We will respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
7. Children
Good Move Daily is not directed at children under the age of 13 (under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below those ages. If you believe a child has used the app and provided health data, please contact us at hello@goodmovedaily.app and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect data in our possession. Health data transmitted to Anthropic is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. No digital transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Notifiable Data Breaches: If we become aware of an eligible data breach under Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. Australian Privacy Act
3Cups Pty Ltd handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct inaccurate information. Contact us at hello@goodmovedaily.app.
The transmission of health data to Anthropic’s servers (USA) constitutes a cross-border disclosure under APP 8. We take reasonable steps to ensure Anthropic protects your information consistently with the APPs, relying on Anthropic’s published privacy commitments and their API data processing terms.
10. European Users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies.
Legal basis for processing: We process your health data (a special category under GDPR Article 9) on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)). For Plus subscribers, this includes consent to transmit health data to Anthropic for the purpose of generating your daily message. You may withdraw consent at any time by revoking HealthKit permissions in iOS Settings.
Your rights under GDPR include: access to your data, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@goodmovedaily.app.
International transfers: Your health data (Plus feature) is transferred to Anthropic’s servers in the United States. We rely on Anthropic’s compliance with applicable data transfer frameworks for the lawfulness of this transfer.
Right to complain: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes — such as changes to what data we collect or who we share it with — will be communicated via an in-app notice prior to the change taking effect. Continued use of the app after updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
